Intern jobs and internships. An internship is a great opportunity offered by a potential employer to potential employees. These are called interns, to work at a firm for a limited period of time. The amount of time is fixed - between one week and 12 months and they may be part time or full time jobs. Interns are almost always undergraduates or students. Internships are also called work placements and industrial placements.

Internships or work placements are often offered during a university semester and full-time if offered during the summer, winter or Easter holidays. These assignments usually last four to twelve weeks.
